Sarah Courech Florida Maternal Mental Health Counseling

SARAH COURECH
LMHC, PMH-C

Hello and Welcome! I'm Sarah Courech, a licensed mental health counselor, maternal mental health advocate, and a mom myself.

I attended Rollins College where I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology and Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling.  I have 15 years of experience working in a variety of different behavioral healthcare settings. In addition to being a licensed mental health counselor, I also have the ability to supervise and train registered mental health interns by serving as a qualified clinical supervisor.

Recognizing Orlando's increased need for mental health practitioners who provide support through pregnancy and the postpartum period, I obtained my certification in perinatal mental health. I am also certified in EMDR therapy (Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) which is one of the most effective treatments for addressing chronic anxiety, birth trauma, PTSD, and a whole host of other issues.

I specialize in treating the following  perinatal mood and anxiety disorders:

  • Depression and Anxiety in Pregnancy

  • Postpartum Depression

  • Postpartum Anxiety and Panic Disorder

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in pregnancy or postpartum

I also provide services to address:

  • Adjustment to Motherhood

  • Difficulty with Role Transitions after Baby

  • Perinatal Grief and Loss

While I have specialized training in issues surrounding Maternal Mental Health, I provide a safe and healing space where anyone who is struggling can come to get help.

In the Community:
I proudly serve as a board member on the Tough Tots fund, a local non profit who provides support, comfort and basic financial assistance to pediatric patients, their caregivers, and their medical professionals.
